Dear Classmates, İ Getting reunions together for our class is something I have wanted to always be a part of and continue to do since graduation.İİ I always wanted to see where life has taken all of us, and how we age through the years.İ I'm sorry we have missed 2 past reunion get together our 20Th and 25Th, but I guarantee this 30Th will be a lot of fun and a memorable night.İ For the past 30 yrs my life has changed drastically, I met most of my goals after high school went on to collegeİat Cal State Univ Hayward.İ I think it's now Cal State East Bay.İ My major was Physical Education (what a surprise).İ There I played 2 yrs of Volleyball, & 2 yrs of Tennis.İ Iİleft in my Jr yrİandİchanged occupational goalsİİ completing a certificate class graduating and getting my license as a Registered Dental Assistant.İ Got Married to classmate Richard Dutraİ in 81,İhad 2 girls and after 6 yrs of marriage, Rich and I both agreed to part ways.İ We are friends and our girls are now 23 & 20.İ I went back to school again changing occupation goals and got my degree as a İRegistered Nurseİin 92İ İ I worked at Valley Care Medical Center in Pleasanton,İforİthe Hospital on the Surgical/Medical floors floating to Critical Care.İ I remarried in 93İto classmate Dennis Jaykins' little brother Douglas, yes he is 10 yrs younger than me (wanted someone younger to push my wheelchair when I got older).İ We have been married for 13 yrs and have a 10yr old daughter.İ I remained very active always inİ sports afterİcollege and continued to play Competitive Volleyball & Softball traveling on adult teams playing in tournaments throughout Northern California.İ I coached High School Volleyball at Moreau High for there Travel Team and was also a cheer leading advisor there.İ At the time Rich Dutra was a Teacher at the School.İ I Coachedİ manyİgirls sports teamsİand my daughters teams as wellİ and Iİstill remain involved in my youngest daughters sports teams as well not coaching though.İ During my nursing career I fell broke an arm and during my recovery had a stroke and was diagnosed with a medical Blood Disease called Pollycythemia Vera.İ It is a Blood Cancer that produces triple the amount of blood needed for the human body and I won't go into anymore than that I take daily Chemotherapy medication to keep it under control.İ My illnessİcaused aİStrokeİwhich gave me short termİmemory loss and slight left sideİİweakness.İ As if that wasn't bad enough it also cause me to take aİgood lookİinto my life andİİto doİİone of the hardest thingsİever in myİlife,İand that was realize my life was going in a completely different direction than I had planned and I now was going to have to retire at the age of 42.İİ Notİonlyİfrom work but also from Sports.İİI played sportsİİ3 days a week either coaching or playing on my own teamİ SinceİİHigh Schoolİthat had always kept me in shape.İ I now had to resort to No sports,İtaking a lot of medication and gainingİa lotİofİİweight.İİ I don't look the same and asİ some of you are now learning Glasses are a very needed necessity so look for a much heavier me with different colored hair and glasses.İ About theİ onlyİthing I still have that's recognizable are my dimples.İİSo that brings you up to date and gives you an idea of what to look for in recognizing me.İİI remain happily married andİliving in Rocklin Calif, raising my last girlİwho is probably the biggest Tom Boy of them all.İ I am spending most of my time being a mom, wife, daughter, sister & friend to those I love and now I am enjoying putting together a 30Th Reunion with a great group of people that I am so glad decided to join me in Organizing it.İİSee you at theİReunionİİİİ Tami Costa (Jaykins)
