Sandra Escott here, it's funny how fast time travels. 30 years later I am back here in the Manor, in my parents house. I have a 18 year old daughter "Ariana" who is a challange and a complete pleasure. My journey after high school led me to be a hair dresser for 7 years. Then I moved to Los Angeles , graduated from fashion college and worked in the garment industryÝ for 8 years. My daughter's birth was the reason to come back up to the Bay Area, I wanted to be closer to my family. We were back a few years when my step father became ill with cancer. SoÝ Ariana, my cats and I moved back home to help him in his last days.Ý Then my mother became sick and eventually had a stroke, she ended up in a wheel chair. My daughter Ariana & I spent a total of 6 1/2 years doing 24/7 care giving.Ý I can say that was the hardest thing I have done in my life, the thing that saved me was belly dancing. I was able to go to classÝ dance, purge, and change my prospective on life. When I went home I would be a different person. So now , 9 years later I am opening my own retail store / dance studio in downtown San Leandro .ÝÝ I design belly dance costumes,Ý beaded jewelry and teach belly dance in San Leandro & Union City.Ý My daughter dances at 2 restaurants in the Bay Area.Ý You can find out more information about belly dance at my web site: www.sjecreations.com
