After MHS, I attended Concordia College in Portland for 3 yrs, working towards a degree in Elem Ed. I met my future wife, Tami, early in my 1st yr. We became good friends (she was engaged, so I felt "safe!") then an "item" after about 9 mos. We were engaged May '79. Summer of '79 we both took jobs as counselors at a Christian Summer Camp. The organization was looking for Site Mgrs for their Adult Retreat Center. We accepted and enjoyed 3 wonderful yrs on 120 acres of wooded meadowland on the Clackamas River. We were married Dec of that year, had daughter #1, Jun 81. But, we were a bit burned out being new parents & doing 14 hr days in the kitchen (during the peak season). So we came back to the "promised land," hoping/thinking I would go to CSUH and get my BA in Educ. That has yet to happen! But we lived in Pleasanton for 8 yrs while I worked for intel, then AT&T. Daughter #2 was born in '83. When AT&T downsized in '89, I found work at a software developer in SL. Tired of the commute, we moved into a home in Bonaire Pk area where we still live. My wife Tami works as Medical Office Mgr for a local Crisis Pregnancy Ctr. On Apr 9, 2001, after 11+ yrs, my employer decided to eliminate my position to pay for marketing of our new product. I'll keep ya' posted. It seems hard to believe I've really seen none of my former classmates except Bob Halsey on occasion. I got to visit briefly with Mary Brennan at Sue Cherniss-Fernandez' memorial service. I went to school with her for 12 years -- way too sad! We're too young for that sort of thing, aren't we? -- Jul 2001 ------ Begin full-time job at Elsineitti Enterprises - San Francisco, CA - owner has 3 service stations - work in central offices - function as IT Tech for network, build website - Operations Manager -- May 2003 ------ Begin full-time job at WatchNET USA - Livermore, CA - manufacturer of Digital Video Recorders - for CCTV/Security - small company, so many hats: > Technical Support, Office Manager, Production Manager -- Aug 2004 ------ Daughter #2 Stephani marries Brandon Sandifer (they're WAY too young ... how old were you when YOU got married, Roger?) -- Jul 2005 ------ Enjoy first real vacation since 2000! 9 days house-sitting in very quiet, rural Holly, WA on the Kitsap Peninsula - beautiful, restful, peaceful ... all relaxed. Sigh. -- Jan 2006 ----- My mom passes on to a better place! Happy for her -- she was diagnosed with emphysema in 1979 -- sad for those left behind.
