A post high school summary ‚ Rich Dutra, Ý I graduated from St Mary¼s College in 1980 ‚ Got married to Tami Costa (Now Jaykins) - We had two beautiful girls Aimee and Corinne and were divorced while the girls were still very young.Ý Although we¼ve had our challenges over the years Tami her husband Doug and my wife Yvonne all get along and work together to love and support our girls.Ý I now have 4 daughters and I am proud of all of them. Ý I am happily married and just celebrated my 19th year of marriage with my best friend and partner Yvonne.Ý Got my Master¼s Degree in Psychology in 1983 from JFK University ‚ I have been a high school teacher, coach and counselor and drug treatment provider.ÝÝ I was the founding clinical director of Thunder Road which is a 50 bed adolescent treatment Hospital in Oakland, California. Ý In 1987 ‚ Yvonne and I founded the Challenge Day Program and more recently the Be The Change Movement. ÝChallenge Day is an international program that does diversity education and compassion building with groups of teens and adults in schools and communities in 42 states in the US and 6 Provinces of Canada - Since 1897 we have served over 425,000 youth.Ý Our work has been highlighted in 2 different versions of Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul.Ý Ý I am proud to say 2 different documentaries have now been done on our work ‚ One Called the Teen Files Surviving High School (For which we won an Emmy Award) ‚ The other aired all across Canada ‚ Called the Bully Solution Ý Last but not least I am excited to share we just filmed one of our Challenge Day programs for the Oprah Winfrey Show and that we are scheduled to film with Oprah on October 19th.Ý We are excited to be taking all 4 girls with us to the filming.
