Wow ! thirty years. I can remember sitting inÝGary Sterrett's car in the parking lot with Gary Paxio having a bowl of something other then cereal. You would think that would make it hard to remember. Well, time sure does fly when you're having fun. As I tell my kids, days turn to minutes and minutes to memories and those minutes go by pretty fast. Ý After high school I went to Chabot College for a couple of years. But, the cost of living took its toll and became a working stiff. I worked in retail management for years until my good friend, Dave Baker (Class of 78) got me into the steel business. I now am a steel salesman. I have been at it for about 15 years. I work for a small steel distributor out of Roseville, Ca. Ý Life has been good. I met my wife in 1976. Adolph Silva introduced us. It took awhile for her to pin me down. We finally married in 1984. We have two beautiful girls, Danica, 18 and Kelsey, 13. Danica works and goes to Sierra College(studying to be a Dental Hygienist and Kelsey is in 8th grade at Springview Middle School in Rocklin, Ca. We have a very close relationship with our kids and spend as much time together as we can; whether it be our yearly trips to Hawaii and Disneyland or just hanging out. Ý I still like to go to Rock 'n' Roll shows, play guitar, spend a lot of time in Santa Cruz, Monterey, Tahoe and Reno and catch as many sporting events as I can. I went to the Indy 500 this year with Chuck Reyna (77)Ýand Doug Weseman(77). The three of us have spent the last 29 Memorial Weekends together. Ý We moved up to Rocklin 5 years ago and love it up here. I can't believe that I haven't ran into Tammy these past 5 years. We were Manor dwellers pretty much prior to that. My dad started developing signs of Alzheimer's about 10 years ago. So, about 6 years ago we moved in with Mom and Dad to help out. My dad had to be put in a home so we packed up my Mom and told her she was coming with us to Rocklin. She now lives with us. Ý I go down to the Manor about every two to three months to see the old friends at Schelley's and get some Porkys pizza. You can always catch up with things in the Manor at Schelley's. Dave(Barney) Fyfe has a lot of info. Not skinny anymore. Not much hair and the body doesn't always work like I want it to. To quote a lyric from Rodney Crowell "WithÝeach new year that passes I'm in need of thicker glasses, but that's okay."Ý My motto is that its okay to get older but just don'tÝbecome old, stay young at heart. Ý Hope to see you all soon!Ý
